Description
In 2012 my health began its tumultuous decline. I experienced severe fatigue (which left me bedridden for days), hearing loss, debilitating joint aches, labored breathing, memory loss, lack of focus, neuropathy and tinnitus.
After visiting 12 doctors in one year and enduring repeated misdiagnoses, I felt hopeless, alone and depressed. Eventually, I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder that was predicted to cause permanent hearing loss in less than six months.
In addition to the news that I would soon become completely deaf, I was also instructed to begin a regimen of immune-suppressing drugs. I knew that it was imperative to explore alternative options to take back control of my health.
My faith spurred me on to have the courage and strength to change my life. I used scientific research, education, and medical technology to delve into the root cause of my illness. I am now able to manage my autoimmune disorders, so that they don’t control me.
